Arroyo de Arguello, Saratoga CA
What was once a tired and unused lawn has become the beginnings of a fantastic new garden area filled with color, movement and interest. Features include a new sitting area under a large shade tree, mixed prairie mounds and access to the new garden through french doors and grape shaded arbor (to be added spring 2010).
Greenwood Lane, Los Gatos CA
Using natural boulders, native and deer resistant plantings and soft hues we turned this motor court into a friendly and welcoming experience. Ivy and deer eaten shrubs were replaced with a plant pallate to provide year round color and interest. By opening up the transition zone with selective pruning, we allowed the beautiful vista of the redwood ravine beyond to become part of the landscape.
Tripoli Court, Los Altos Hills CA
We redesigned this driveway area for a warm and welcoming entry. Using a mixture of grasses and flowering shrubs, it will provide year round interest and low maintenance and water needs. Our biggest challenge on this site is the constant deer presence. With careful plant selection, we have maintained 98% deer resistance in the first 3 months after installation.

Alpine Avenue, Los Gatos CA
Before and after photos of the rear yard on Alpine in Los Gatos. We used a mixture of grasses, perennials and evergreen shrubs to soften the area and create a tranquil garden that blends well with the native oak and bay woodlands beyond the home.
